About SKML
SKML is a network organisation with close ties to the Dutch scientific societies involved in medical laboratory diagnostics. These include:
- The Dutch Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (NVKC)
- The Dutch Society for Medical Microbiology (NVMM)
- The College of Medical Immunologists (CMI)
- The Dutch Society for Parasitology (NVP)
- The Dutch Association of Hospital Pharmacists (NVZA)
SKML is currently organised into 12 sections and a central support office, the CFB. Each section is responsible for a defined area of medical laboratory diagnostics. The chairs of these sections form the general board of the foundation, where common scientific frameworks and ambitions are established.
The members of the sections are appointed by SKML upon nomination by the relevant scientific societies. The general board is supported by an advisory council.
The general board appoints an executive board responsible for the development and execution of its policy. The CFB is led by a director who coordinates the scientific processes and supports the sections.
