Details

The ECAT Foundation provides an international D-Dimer survey. All participants receive a report including the results of all participants.

D-Dimer becomes more and more one of the most important laboratory test for haemostasis. For instance, this test is applied frequently for the exclusion of deep vene thrombosis or pulmonary embolism nowadays. This requires an adequate quality control.
Each survey two lyophilised plasma samples are distributed to the participants. The samples are prepared from patient plasmas.
De results are reported directly to the ECAT Foundation. The ECAT Foundation is responsible for the preparation of the report.
