STD External Molecular Quality Assessment Scheme
This scheme consists of two distributions, each comprising usually three unpreserved urine or urogenital swab samples in transport medium. Analysis is requestedby a Nucleic Acid Amplification Technique (NAAT, such as PCR) to detect Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Trichomonas vaginalis is requested. At the end of each distribution all findings are summarized and presented in a final report.

This scheme is provided in Dutch and English. International participants should beaware that this scheme use unpreserved samples, so long-distance transport is not encouraged. Subscription costs do not include shipment by courier in case the participant is based outside the European Union.
