Chimerism
With chimerism determination, the percentage of donor and / or patient cells in blood or bone marrow is determined after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Usually material is transplanted from one donor. However, transplants are also carried out in which material is transplanted from two donors. By determination of DNA polymorphisms that are specific for the patient and comparing them with those of the donors, the percentage of donor cells can be determined.
