The General Board (GB) can establish workgroups for various reasons. These workgroups undertake research into and, where necessary, implementation of field-related activities which fall beyond the scope of the sections. The GB nominates a chairman, who is responsible to the GB. Currently there are 3 operational workgroups:
- Calibration 2000 Workgroup
- Scoring Systems Workgroup
- Reporting Workgroup
